How we hold your data
What happens to a client's books once they are with us — stated as properties of how the system is built, not as assurances about how carefully people will behave.
The short version
Read, never write. Separated in code.
A promise about conduct is only as good as the worst day the person making it has. A property of the software holds on that day too.
The commitments below are the ones we can point at something for. Where a control is intended but not yet operating, it is not listed — a roadmap described in the present tense is the most common way a security page becomes untrue.
Commitments
Four things, and what each rests on
-
01
Your books stay yours
We read from your accounting system. We do not post, adjust or delete in it — not to fix a coding error, not to tidy a prior period, not at all. Your ledger is the system of record and your auditors' subject; it is not ours to edit.
-
02
Separated in code, not by convention
Every client's figures are isolated from every other client's by the structure of the software rather than by anyone remembering. A query that fails to say which client it is for raises an error instead of quietly returning rows — and there is a test that proves it, which has to pass before any change ships.
-
03
Nothing is changed without your sight of it first
Anything that would alter your records is shown to you as a preview — what would be added, what would change, and what was skipped and why — and is written only once you accept it.
-
04
Held in one system, not a shared drive
Most firms in this space run client books out of a shared cloud folder named after the client. That is the arrangement this was built to replace.
What is not claimed
Deliberately absent
Several things a page like this usually says are missing, because the control behind them is not yet operating. They will appear when they are true and not before:
Certifications and audits. The firm holds none. A security page that implies otherwise is the first thing a serious counterparty checks.
Guaranteed turnaround dates. Earned over a quarter of hitting them, then stated — not promised in advance on a web page.
If a control matters to your decision, ask directly and you will get a straight answer about whether it exists today.

If your investors or lenders have specific control requirements, send them over. A straight answer is faster than a brochure.
